Overview

Words can make or break relationships between founders, with investors (incl. LPs), strategic partners, and employees. A series of words can promote safety, belonging, and alignment— and also create fear, confusion, and distrust. This service helps you effectively frame and reframe your communications for self and important others. This service has been used to augment numerous aspects of company-building include: 

  • Fundraising.

  • Go-to-market.

  • Strategic planning.

  • Operational hygiene.

  • Hiring.

  • Team performance & accountability. 

  • Responding to shock events (etc. covid, political and geopolitical events, bank-runs).

Some deliverables include (but not limited to): 

  • Investment memos for VC funds or LPs. 

  • Partnership proposals. 

  • Board messaging and management. 

  • Company-wide announcements. 

Who This is For

  • Early/early-growth company founders (mature Seed to Series C). We have experience working with startups spanning industries such as: Finance, Life Sciences, Hospitality, Aviation, Freight, Advertising & Marketing, E-Commerce, and Education.

  • VC fund managers: If you are raising a new fund or developing key pieces of collateral for the purposes of branding and thought-leadership. 

Typical Engagement Structure

We typically assess the required depth and breadth of scope during an initial 20-minute discovery call. A typically engagement structure will at minimum include: 

  • Kick-Off Virtual Meeting (1-Hr): A conferencing session to further unpack your outcome and the key component of your messaging. 

  • Asynchronous Development: Co-create the structured collateral in a written memo which will serve as the DNA for your message whether it be an investment deck, proposal, email, speech, or other broadcast. 

  • Fee: We typically charge a cash retainer only for initial engagement.
